You will be dealing with traffic and lots of it, so plan ahead and don't spend all your money once you've got things going, you must keep a little reserve. Home-run outta the park in every way I just can't say enough good about this game. Maxis is shut down, and this is the reason why - Skylines stole the show - in all the right ways - but when you play this game, you will think Maxis wrote it themselves. In fact, I like to play SimCity 4 as much as possible so I can make a list of all the things he got wrong (as I have with all the previous versions). Comparing Simcity 4 with mods galore to this is like comparing Simcity 4 with mods to the PC-DOS Simcity version. this mod changes how farms look and play and makes them a viable part of any city. most players consider simcity to be all about creating a thriving metropolis and the in-game farming system was actually unfinished at the time of the games release. Simcity 2000 & 3000 - good if you have an old old ancient machine but are superceded by 4.Ĭities XL - Completely and entirely broken past three-quarter million people, lags out.Ĭities XXL - Multicore + all the bad and the good from XL, meaning it's the same game!Ĭities Skylines - Multicore + Moddable + all of the good from Simcity 4 + none of the bad from the dated design. SPAM: SimPeg Agricultural Mod is an awesome mod that completely replaces simcitys default farming system. Simcity SNES - old but awesome (just timeless, especially great for kids) Simcity for Dos/WFW - Oldie but goodie that started it all. Simcity 4 - old but awesome with the right mods like NAM and CAM. This results in an overall size of 20.48km x 16.843km of workable terrain. Simcity 2013 - EA ruined maxis and neutered Simcity into Sim Hamlet. This Region map has been scaled to a ratio of 2.5:1 to bring up the size of the monument to better match visibility in SimCity 4, and as this is an interior landmass, offset to a minimum elevation of 280 to allow for easy carving of maxis water into the river valley.

Played about 14 hours straight on 1st session if that says anything. No complaints now that the bird is corked :) Absolutely positively hands down an excellent game at an excellent price. This game will only get better with time and mods.

It dusts all the other city-builders out there, ALL OF THEM. Finally can say that even though I will always love Simcity 4 due to it's mods and refinement from the community of modders (not EA that's for sure), This game is the only city-builder out that will give Simcity 4 a run for it's money. Been playing SC4 since it came out in 2003 or 2004 or so, and the NAM mod with it since NAM came out in 06 or so.
